"It must only look
like leaving. There’s an art
to everything. Even
turning away. How

eventually even hunger
can become a space
to live in. How they made
out of shamelessness something
beautiful, for as long as they could.

Sometimes you need to remind yourself that you were the one who carried you through the heartache. You are the one who sits with the cold body on the shower floor, and picks it up. You are the one who feeds it, who clothes it, who tucks it into bed, and you should be proud of that. Having the strength to take care of yourself when everyone around you is trying to bleed you dry, that is the strongest thing in the universe.

I have an extra ticket for the Tegan and Sara concert on June 24 at the Hammerstein Ballroom.  I was given two tickets for free and I don’t know who to take.

So the extra one is up for grabs.  I’d rather take someone who will appreciate it, and I would love to get to know someone new at the same time, so I’m offering it up on tumblr.  They’re balcony tickets, so we won’t be super close, but hey I mean they were free.   Message me something convincing if you want to go with me, lady-loving ladies to the front (it’s pride month after all).

It’s in like, a week so get at me.  I swear I’m not as awkward as I sound.

lionhearted,
but my
hands still

and my voice
isn’t quite
loud
enough."
